Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager

The Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager will implement policies to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Inspects the facility to identify safety, health, and environmental risks.
  • Develops and implements inspection policies and procedures, and a schedule of routine inspections.
  • Develops health and safety procedures for all areas of the company.
  • Prepares and schedules training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics.
  • Monitors compliance with safety procedures.
  • Drafts inspection reports to document inspection findings.
  • Ensures that material safety data sheets are maintained and readily accessible when needed.
  • Maintains records of discharge of or employee exposure to hazardous waste and/or pollutants, as required.
  • Ensure the proper classification, labeling and disposal of all hazardous waste, and maintain the records of such activities.
  • Ensure that all employees are properly trained on all applicable EHS matters.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and policies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in technology and equipment used in environmental inspections.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

Physical Requirements:

  • Physically able to conduct inspections and carry equipment used for inspections.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field required; Masters degree desirable.
  • Five years of related experience preferred.

Production Technician

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Works on different types of equipment to carry out different phases of the production process.
  • Operator follows directions and procedures specified on Batch Slip.
  • Must be able to follow directions and notify Production Foreman/Supervisor if any problems arise during any phase of the production process.
  • Able to perform cleaning procedures with supervision from Production Foreman/Supervisor. Is responsible for taking care of routine machine maintenance and keeping work areas in neat condition.
  • Follows all safety rules regarding machine operation and handling of products.
  • Record information as outlined on Batch Slip and initial work completed.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • High School Diploma preferred.
  • Sufficient math, reading and writing ability to follow and complete production batch slips, work instructions forms and labels.
  • Sufficient visual acuity (corrected) to read instructions, operate machines, and visually inspect parts produced.
  • Sufficient manual dexterity to operate machines properly.

Physical Requirements

  • Physical ability to do work requiring frequent stooping and bending.
  • Physical strength sufficient to lift and carry 25 pounds frequently.
