Terry Eck, Regional Sales Manager, acquired this project after working with the Tennessee Valley Authority (T.V.A.) Construction Project Manger to provide an alternate solution for their Containment Settling Ponds Project. Our Ply-Seal® Joint Detail with Ply-Seal FG (Forming Seal) – used in conjunction with our Ply-Seal® XE Beige (Primary Top Seal) – was submitted and approved.
After multiple months required for its construction, the project was successfully completed with the contractor stating: “The water is flowing, and all is well!”
This system has been used frequently for many years in flood control applications. It can be adapted for other projects where hydrostatic conditions are present.
