Maintaining the ISO 9001:2015 certification, Polyset strives to use our Quality Management System as an effective tool for driving our efficiency and continuous improvement efforts. Polyset is also a certified Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) in New York State, as well as with The Port Authority of NY/NJ. More and more, large corporations are benefiting from having supplier diversity requirements in place that help to increase the number of MBEs (or MWBEs) from which they source. From reinforcing corporate values and objectives to meeting compliance requirements of federal or state government customers, these policies have both economical and intangible benefits. For example, government agencies often require companies to maintain a certain level of MBE spend before they will even consider doing business with them. DBE is a federal program administered by the United States Department of Transportation (USDOT) through each State’s Unified Certification Program to provide a level playing field for small, minority- and women-owned companies wanting to do business with State DOT’s and
other agencies receiving federal funds from the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT).
