Old World Provisions built a massive expansion and we were there to transform their concrete floors.
The expansion included more than 10,000 square feet of concrete floors for the Troy, NY-based meat processing facility. When discussing their specific needs for their floors, we recommended using our Ply-Guard UC (SL), along with our Ply-Guard UC (Topcoat). Why?
Ply-Guard UC (SL) is a flowable polyurethane mortar manufactured to protect concrete from physical and chemical abuse. It’s high resistance to impact and abrasion, as well as it being unaffected by animal fats and most solvents, made this the perfect solution for protecting their new floors. For this project, sand/quartz aggregate was broadcast to create a higher durability, non-skid floor system.
Ply-Guard UC (Topcoat) is a squeegee-applied cementitious polyurethane topcoat that is also resistant to impact and abrasion, and it stands up to steel-wheeled cart traffic. It is unaffected by hot cooking oils, animal fats, and most solvents.
