As a long-standing event planning committee member, see what Denise Czerpak has to say about why she continues to support The Dake Foundation For Children. With so many great charitable organizations and committees in the Capital Region, what was it about the Dake Foundation that made you want to get involved?

When I learned about the Foundation’s mission of providing equipment to children with disabilities to improve their participation in the daily activities we may take for granted, it was an easy “yes”. Hearing their stories and seeing the effect the Dake Foundation has on these children and their families is overwhelming, and I’m so grateful to be a small part of this huge impact.

This May is the Ninth Annual Child’s Play event. How many have you been involved with?

I’ve been involved with Child’s Play since 2012, so this is my 6th event!

What is it you love most about this event?

I love sitting on the planning committee and seeing how our ideas and passions work together to make Child’s Play such an amazing event. And then I get to watch everyone come together the night of the event to support the foundation’s mission, there’s nothing like that – to know we are all there for the same reason!

Which upcoming SPAC performance are you most excited to attend?

I’m a huge Dave fan, as are most people in Saratoga … And I hope to see Chris Stapleton, Luke Bryan, and Zach Brown.

The Dake Foundation for Children’s mission is to provide children with disabilities tools and services to help them become independent as possible while maximizing fun.  What in Saratoga Springs do you do for fun?

You’ll normally find me out and about with my husband and our son – either visiting the ducks in Congress Park or exploring the books/toys on the 2nd floor at Northshire
